This Tyrannosaurus rex large maxillary tooth replica is based on a specimen from the Hall Creek Formation located in Harding County, South Dakota. One of the largest land predators of all time, T.rex, which lived during the Late Cretaceous period some 66 million years ago, didn't rely on its foot claws when making a kill. Instead, these sharp talons could have been used to hold prey down while the powerful jaws tore the flesh into bite-sized chunks.
