Shipping & Returns
Your satisfaction is our goal. Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a replacement, exchange, credit or refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Refunds are issued in the form of original payment for the amount of the returned merchandise (not including applicable shipping or service fees). Please note:
- The item returned must be in its original packaging in salable condition
- If your merchandise arrives damaged please contact the shipped from store location - the store circled on your packing slip.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
We are a small but committed team working in the museum stores and strive to ship every order in a timely manner. Due to a current staffing shortage your order will usually be processed and shipped within 7-10 business days of order placement. We are not currently offering expedited delivery service.
We use UPS as our shipping provider for Standard Ground delivery service. You will receive a shipping quote when completing your order. There may be instances when additional delivery fees apply beyond the in-order shipping quote. We will contact you via email to discuss options and payment should this arise.
We cannot ship to PO boxes, APO or FPO boxes and are currently not shipping outside the US.
Note there are restrictions on shipping some products.
In an effort to be more environmentally conscious we utilize recycled/recyclable packing supplies when available and may reuse boxes and packaging when applicable. We hope you appreciate this effort at being green!
Pickup In Store
You may pick up your order in store by selecting Pickup In Store when completing your order. Carnegie Museums operates four stores in three separate buildings. If your order contains items from more than one of our four stores we will combine your items for pickup at one location. Please wait for email notification that your order is ready and Pick up in the store indicated on the email. You may request a preferred pickup location through the "contact us" form found at the bottom of the homepage. Please reference your order number on the form. Typically orders will be processed within 3-5 business days of receipt. A copy of your order confirmation and valid I.D. will be required at pickup.
Please Note: Beginning October 14, 2023 to be in compliance with the City of Pittsburgh's plastic bag ban we must charge for paper bags given to customers. Please bring your own bag if you do not wish to pay for a bag.
