This sturdy sand-colored canvas tote bag is reversible with a zipper pocket on one side. You can flip it around and wear it with the Hieroglyphics design on the outside to show the beauty of ancient languages. 

Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs or hieroglyphics were the formal writing system used in Ancient Egypt for writing the Egyptian language. Hieroglyphs combined ideographic, logographic, syllabic, and alphabetic elements, with more than 1,000 distinct characters. The word comes from Greek words meaning "sacred carving," because the symbols were carved into temple walls and stone monuments. The system started around 3300–3200 BCE and was used for over 3,000 years.

The meaning of hieroglyphs was lost for centuries after the script fell out of use. In 1822, French scholar Jean-François Champollion decoded the language using the Rosetta Stone, which had the same message written in hieroglyphics, an Egyptian cursive script, and Greek.

The glyphs on this reversible canvas tote come from the Hymn to Hathor, a love song wishing for peace, happiness, and a joy-filled life.
