Ankylosaurus magniventris was a herbivore that lived in what is now North America at the end of the Cretaceous period, more than 65 million years ago. It is probably the largest member of the Ankylosauridae family, enjoying great popularity due to various appearances, both in books and documentaries as well as in movies and animated series.

The most notable feature of Ankylosaurus is the armor of osteoderms (bony plates on the skin) that covered almost the entirety of its body, in addition to the caudal club at the end of its tail. This model is a faithful representation of the latest theories about this creature.

With this Ankylosaurus model you will live the experience of putting together with your own hands a work of art that was carefully designed to respect the proportions of this fascinating dinosaur. The design features each and every one of the osteoderms that it probably had on its body in an attempt to complement science with imagination to expose in a single model all the beauty of this wonderful Mesozoic beast.

This model has been exhibited at the National Museum of Natural History in Santiago de Chile.
