Silver Cloud Ornament

This ethereal, reflective ornament inspired by Andy Warhol's iconic Silver Clouds allows you to step into a world where art defies gravity and to experience the shimmering allure of Warhol’s vision!

The original Silver Clouds exhibition in 1966 challenged the idea of what you would encounter in an art gallery.  Traditionally, artwork would be hung flat against the wall and viewers were expected to admire the artwork from a distance. In this installation, the art bounces off the walls and collides into you.  A place where you, and your reflection, become a part of the art.

The Andy Warhol Museum has had the Silver Clouds installation on view since the museum opened in 1994.
